Subscription Cancellation Complaints
Calm's Help Center says website subscribers can cancel from the Calm app or website if the subscription was purchased through Calm.com. Website steps include logging into www.calm.com/profile, going to Settings -> Manage Subscription, selecting Cancel Subscription, and following prompts until the final confirmation screen.
Use this table:
| Purchase source |

| Calm.com |
www.calm.com/profile -> Settings -> Manage Subscription |

Calm's Terms say cancellation must happen at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period to stop the next charge. If the account does not show a Cancel button, Calm says this usually means the subscription is already canceled, was purchased through Apple or Google, or the user is signed into the wrong account.
Refund Review Complaints
Calm's refund policy was updated February 6, 2026. It says Calm.com subscription purchases can be refunded within 30 days of purchase through Calm's Refund Request Form. Calm says accepted refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days depending on the payment provider.

Canceling is not the same as requesting a refund. If the customer canceled but still wants money back, the complaint must include the refund form or relevant platform refund request.
Apple, Google Play, and Calm Sleep Billing Complaints
Calm's Help Center says Apple independently reviews and processes Apple refunds. For Google Play subscriptions, Calm says the Calm Support team can assist with refund requests. Calm Sleep uses a separate flow through the Calm Sleep app and Stripe Customer Portal.
For Apple complaints, include:
- Apple receipt
- Apple subscription status screenshot
- Calm account email
- charge date and amount
- cancellation date
- Apple refund request status
For Google complaints, include:
- Google order ID
- Google subscription status screenshot
- Calm account email
- charge date and amount
- cancellation date
- Calm support ticket
For Calm Sleep complaints, include:
- Calm Sleep account email
- Stripe Customer Portal status
- purchase date
- renewal date
- cancellation screenshot
- support request
Ask Calm one direct question: "Does this account have a Calm.com subscription, an Apple subscription, a Google Play subscription, or a Calm Sleep Stripe subscription?"
Premium Content Locked, Account Matching, and Family Plan Complaints
Calm has help articles for users who paid for Premium but still see locked content. These complaints usually involve wrong account email, wrong login method, app-store purchase not linked, Family Plan invite problems, or organization access.
For access complaints, include:
| Problem |
Evidence |
| Paid but Premium locked |
Receipt, account email, app screenshot |
| Wrong account |
Possible emails, Apple/Google login method, receipts |
| Family invite not working |
Primary email, invitee email, plan status |
| Organization benefit not applied |
Sponsor, invitation, account email |
| Calm Health access issue |
Calm Health sponsor, invitation, app screenshot |
| App playback issue |
Device, app version, content title, error screenshot |
Ask support to confirm which account owns the paid subscription and which login method should unlock Premium.
Organization Access, Calm Health, and Partner Benefits
Some users receive Calm Premium or Calm Health through an employer, health plan, Kaiser Permanente, partner program, or other organization. Calm's support articles say organization-provided access does not always create a refund right for an older personal subscription; refund eligibility still follows Calm's refund policy and purchase source.
For organization complaints, include:
| Issue |
Evidence |
| Benefit not activating |
Sponsor name, invitation link, account email |
| Personal subscription still active |
Receipt, purchase platform, cancellation status |
| Refund after sponsor access |
Purchase date, sponsor access date, platform |
| Family/friend Calm Health access |
Invitation, sponsor, account email |
| Wrong organization account |
Work email, personal email, screenshot |
Ask whether the issue belongs to Calm Support, the employer or health-plan sponsor, Apple, Google, or the user's personal subscription account.
Privacy, Account Data, and Mental-Wellness Content Complaints
Calm is a meditation, sleep, and mental-wellness app. Privacy requests should be handled separately from billing. Wellness-content complaints should focus on the exact content, feature, or account data involved.
Common privacy requests include:
| Request |
What to include |
| Access |
Account email, full name, state, request date |
| Deletion |
Account email, active subscription status, purchase platform |
| Correction |
Old and corrected account details |
| Marketing opt-out |
Email address and communication type |
| Account security |
Account email, suspicious change, date noticed |
| Data or activity concern |
Feature, device, app version, screenshot |
If Calm content triggers distress or a health concern, pause use and seek appropriate support. Then contact Calm if the issue also involves content accuracy, app behavior, or account settings.
When to Escalate Beyond Calm
| Situation |
Escalation path |
Notes |
| Calm.com refund not processed after approval |
Calm Support follow-up and payment provider |
Include refund confirmation and date |
| Apple refund denied or delayed |
Apple Support |
Include Apple receipt and request status |
| Google refund unresolved |
Calm Support follow-up, then Google if platform issue remains |
Include Google order ID |
| Charge after timely cancellation |
Calm or platform support, then payment issuer if appropriate |
Include cancellation confirmation and later charge |
| Premium content remains locked |
Calm Support follow-up |
Include receipt and account email |
| Organization access mismatch |
Sponsor and Calm Support |
Include invitation and account email |
| Privacy request unresolved |
Calm privacy/support route, then applicable privacy regulator |
Include request date and response history |
Escalation is strongest when it uses one account email, one purchase platform, one receipt, one cancellation record, and one requested remedy.

The issue is [subscription cancellation, free-trial renewal, Calm.com refund, Apple subscription, Google Play subscription, Calm Sleep billing, Premium content locked, Family Plan issue, Lifetime Membership issue, organization access, privacy request, or wellness-content concern]. Useful follow-up questions:
- "Was this subscription purchased through Calm.com, Apple, Google, or Calm Sleep?"
- "Did my cancellation happen at least 24 hours before renewal?"
- "Do I need to submit a separate refund request?"
- "Which Calm account email owns this purchase?"
- "Why is Premium still locked if the receipt is valid?"
- "Can you confirm the final subscription and refund status in writing?"
