Cancel Direct Audible Billing
Use this route if the receipt, card descriptor, or Audible purchase history points to Audible or Amazon rather than Apple or Google Play.
- Go to
https://www.audible.com/.
- Sign in with the Amazon account used for Audible.
- Open account details or membership settings.
- Review the plan, renewal date, and remaining credits.
- Follow the membership cancellation flow or contact Audible Customer Service by phone or chat.
- Save the confirmation page or support transcript.
- Recheck account details after the change posts.
Audible's Conditions of Use also say memberships and subscriptions can be canceled through account details or by contacting Customer Service. If the account page sends you to Apple or Google Play, use that billing source instead.
Apple and Google Play
Use these routes only when the receipt says Apple or Google Play billed the Audible membership.
| Billing source |

| Apple on iPhone or iPad |

| Apple on Mac |
App Store, your name, Account Settings, Subscriptions, Manage, Audible, Cancel Subscription |

| Google Play web route |

Apple says that if there is no cancel button or an expiration message appears, the subscription is already canceled. Google says deleting an app does not cancel a subscription, so remove the Audible app only after the subscription status is clear.
Credits, Library Access, and Plus Catalog
The most important Audible cancellation issue is what happens to different kinds of listening access.
| Item |
What happens after cancellation |
| Audiobooks purchased with cash |
Remain in your library under Audible's purchased-content rules |
| Audiobooks purchased with Premium Plus credits |
Remain in your library after cancellation |
| Unused Premium Plus credits |
Expire when membership is canceled or terminated unless used first |
| Plus Catalog titles |
Access depends on an active eligible membership and title availability |
| Standard monthly selections |
Access depends on active Standard membership |
| Member-only sales and discounts |
End with membership benefits |
Use the current Audible account screen as the source of truth for your exact credit count and expiration timing. If you are unsure whether to spend a credit, pick the audiobook first, confirm it appears in your purchased library, and then finish cancellation.
Current Audible Plans and Prices

Prices, promotions, taxes, account eligibility, and country-specific plan names can change. Check the live checkout, your receipt, and account details before relying on an older amount.
Pausing or Switching Instead of Canceling
Audible's Customer Service page says some Audible Premium members may be eligible to pause membership once every 12 months for up to 90 days. While membership is paused, the page says the monthly membership fee is not billed.
That option is not the same as cancellation. Use pause only if you intentionally want to keep the account relationship and resume later. If the goal is to stop future membership charges, complete the cancellation route and verify the final status.
Audible also says website subscribers can see plan options from account details, while people who subscribed directly in the Audible app need to use app account subscription settings to see plan options.
Refunds, Returns, and Unknown Charges
Canceling Audible does not automatically refund prior membership fees. Audible's Conditions of Use say that if you cancel a membership or subscription, you will not receive a refund of fees already paid, while purchased content remains licensed to the account.
For a title return, use Audible purchase history on the Audible website and check whether the title is eligible. Audible's Customer Service page says title returns are handled from the Audible website and that refund status can be checked in refund history.
For an unknown Audible charge, Audible recommends reviewing past membership charges and orders. If you contact Customer Service, have the 9-digit code from the Audible charge available.
