Apple says Apple One is monthly with no long-term commitment. Its FAQ says you can cancel at least a day before the monthly renewal date and keep access until the end of the paid billing cycle.
If you cancel Apple One, Apple says you may have the opportunity to select individual subscriptions to keep, and those would be billed separately.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
Use this route for most Apple-billed subscriptions.
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If the subscription was already canceled, Apple says there may be no Cancel button or the subscription may show an expiration message in red text.
Cancel on Mac, Windows, or Web
On Mac:
- Open the App Store.
- Click your name.
- Click Account Settings.
- Click Subscriptions.
- Choose the subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
On Windows:
- Open Apple Music, Apple TV, or iTunes.
- View your account.
- Go to Settings or Subscriptions.
- Click Manage.
- Edit the subscription and cancel.
On the web, sign in at account.apple.com and follow the subscription-management prompts. Apple also provides service-specific web flows for Apple Music and Apple TV.
If You Cannot Find the Subscription
Use Apple's troubleshooting order:
| Check |
Why |
| Receipt from Apple |
Shows the Apple Account used |
| Family Sharing organizer account |
Family purchases may be tied to another Apple Account |
| Another Apple Account |
Multiple Apple Accounts can hide the active subscription |
| Card statement |
Shows whether Apple, Google, a carrier, or another company bills it |
| Wireless carrier or provider |
Provider-billed Apple services must be changed with that provider |
| Google Play |
Some Android purchases are billed by Google Play |
Apple says you cannot cancel a family member's subscription from your own account; the family member whose Apple Account appears on the receipt needs to cancel it.
Remove or Change an Apple Payment Method
Removing a payment method is not the same as canceling a subscription. Apple says if you have subscriptions such as iCloud+, an unpaid balance, or Family Sharing purchase sharing, you must keep at least one payment method on file.
To remove a payment method on iPhone:
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Payment & Shipping.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap the delete button next to the method.
- Tap Remove to confirm.
Apple says after the subscription period is over, you can remove the payment method. In some cases, you may need to add a new method before removing the old one.
Refund Requests
Use reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple-billed apps, content, and subscriptions.
- Sign in with the Apple Account that was charged.
- Choose "I'd like to."
- Choose "Request a refund."
- Select a reason.
- Choose the item or subscription.
- Submit the request.
Apple says pending charges cannot be requested for refund until the receipt arrives. Refund eligibility can vary by country or region.
