Cancel a Direct Adobe Individual Plan
Use this route for most individual Creative Cloud, Acrobat, Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Express, Adobe Stock, or similar direct Adobe subscriptions.
- Go to
https://account.adobe.com/plans.
- Sign in with the Adobe ID tied to the subscription.
- Choose Manage plan for the paid plan.
- Select Cancel your plan if the option appears.
- Review the refund, fee, and access information before confirming.
- Complete every confirmation step.
- Save the confirmation email and final access date.
If Cancel your plan does not appear, common causes are an app-store purchase, a team or enterprise plan, a reseller plan, a payment issue, or an account that does not own the subscription. Use the billing source table above and check old Adobe IDs if the charge is not under the expected email.
Apple, Google Play, Microsoft Store, and Reseller Billing
If Adobe was purchased through another platform, the Adobe Account page may not be able to stop the charge.
| Platform or seller |
Cancellation path |
Practical check |
| Apple App Store |
Apple ID > Subscriptions > Adobe plan > Cancel |
Look for an Apple receipt and Apple as the billing merchant |
| Google Play |
Google Play > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions > Adobe plan > Cancel |
Check the Google account used at signup |
| Microsoft Store |
Microsoft account > Services & subscriptions |
Match the Microsoft receipt to the Adobe product |
| Reseller, school, employer, or marketplace |
The reseller, admin, school, employer, or contract owner |
Check invoice issuer and contract owner |
If the subscription does not appear in the expected app-store account, check another household or work account before assuming Adobe bills it directly.
Creative Cloud for Teams and Enterprise Plans
Team and enterprise subscriptions can be owned by an admin rather than the end user.
| Plan type |
Who usually controls cancellation |
What to check |
| Creative Cloud for teams trial |
Admin in Adobe Admin Console |
Trial expiration and assigned users |
| Creative Cloud for teams paid plan |
Contract owner or admin, often through Admin Console or Adobe Customer Care |
Renewal date, seat count, annual commitment |
| Enterprise agreement |
Enterprise contract owner, reseller, or Adobe enterprise support |
Contract term, renewal notice requirements, purchase order |
| School or employer license |
Organization admin |
Whether the user has a personal paid plan in addition to the organization license |
Do not cancel a personal Adobe plan because an employer has given you access unless you first confirm the personal plan is no longer needed. Organization access and personal billing can exist at the same time.
Refunds, Access, and Early Cancellation Fees
Adobe's subscription terms vary by plan. Use the current plan page and current terms before confirming.
| Plan timing |
Common Adobe direct-billing outcome |
| Cancel within 14 days of initial order |
Full refund for many individual plans |
| Month-to-month plan after 14 days |
No refund for the current billing month; access continues until the end of that month |
| Annual plan paid monthly after 14 days |
Early cancellation fee may be 50% of the remaining contractual obligation; access continues until the end of that month's billing period |
| Annual prepaid plan after 14 days |
No refund; access continues until the end of the contract term |
| Free trial |
Cancel before conversion to prevent paid billing |
| App-store purchase |
Apple, Google, or Microsoft refund rules apply |
| Team or enterprise plan |
Contract and admin terms apply |
If the cancellation page shows a fee, save the screen before confirming. The fee can be tied to an annual commitment even when the plan is billed monthly.
Adobe Stock, Add-Ons, and Multiple Plans
Adobe accounts may have more than one billable item. Canceling Creative Cloud All Apps does not necessarily cancel Adobe Stock, Acrobat, a mobile app subscription, a team seat, or another Adobe add-on.
Before leaving the account page, check:
| Item |
Why it matters |
| Creative Cloud plan |
Main app bundle, such as All Apps, Photography, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere Pro |
| Acrobat |
Often billed separately from Creative Cloud |
| Adobe Stock |
Can renew separately and may have its own plan terms |
| Firefly, Express, or mobile app subscriptions |
May be tied to app-store billing |
| Team seats |
Can continue under an admin-owned plan |
| Cloud storage |
Content access can change after cancellation |
Download important files and note cloud storage limits before cancellation. Adobe account access may remain, but paid-app access and storage benefits can change when the plan ends.
If Adobe Charges You After Cancellation
Start by matching the charge to a billing source.
| Evidence |
Why it helps |
| Adobe confirmation email |
Shows plan name and cancellation date |
| Adobe invoice |
Shows plan ID, product, tax, and billing period |
| Card statement descriptor |
Helps distinguish Adobe direct billing from app-store billing |
| Apple, Google, or Microsoft receipt |
Shows platform billing |
| Admin Console invoice |
Shows team or enterprise billing |
| Screenshot of the fee screen |
Shows what Adobe disclosed before confirmation |
If Adobe direct billing caused the charge, contact Adobe Customer Care with the confirmation and invoice. If Apple, Google, Microsoft, a reseller, or an employer bills it, use that billing owner first.
If a credit card charge still appears to be a billing error after the merchant or platform review, the FTC says written billing-error notices generally must reach the card issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent. Keep that card-issuer deadline in mind while you work through the billing owner.
What to Say When You Cancel
Use this script:
"Please cancel my Adobe subscription and stop future renewal. My Adobe ID is [email]. The product is [Creative Cloud / Acrobat / Photoshop / Lightroom / Adobe Stock / other], the billing source appears to be [Adobe / Apple / Google Play / Microsoft / team admin / reseller / unknown], and the renewal date is [date]. Please confirm cancellation, final access date, whether any refund or early cancellation fee applies, and whether any other paid Adobe plan remains under this account."
If a charge posted after cancellation, add:
"I canceled or requested cancellation on [date]. The charge posted on [date] for [amount]. I have attached the cancellation confirmation, invoice or receipt, and account email. Please confirm what plan generated this charge and whether it should be refunded."
