How to Cancel Evoice Subscription

Thinking of cutting ties with eVoice? You're not alone. eVoice has been around since 1997, offering virtual phone numbers and automated attendants, which was a lifesaver when everyone suddenly needed a separate business line for their pandemic-era side hustle. But maybe that hustle is done, or the service just isn't what you need anymore. With plans ranging from $14 to $32 a month, you could save up to $384 a year by canceling. This guide covers how to cancel your subscription on your desktop, since that's the main way to manage your account.

How to Cancel Evoice Subscription on Desktop

Canceling online is your best bet. It avoids waiting on hold, but the website can feel a bit dated. A user on Reddit mentioned the page timed out on them once, so they had to start over. Just be patient and click through the steps.

1 Log In to Your eVoice Account

First, head over to the eVoice website and log in. You'll need your administrator username and password for this. If you forgot it, you'll have to go through the password reset process first.

2 Navigate to the Billing Tab

Once you're logged in, look for the 'Billing' tab in the main navigation menu at the top of the page. Click on it to go to your billing details.

3 Find the 'Cancel Account' Link

This is where it gets a little annoying. You need to find the 'Cancel Account' link. It's usually tucked away at the bottom of the page. I had to scroll all the way down to find it. Don't get distracted by the other options.

4 Follow the Prompts to Confirm

After clicking the link, eVoice will likely present you with a survey or a retention offer to try and keep you. You have to complete this process to finalize the cancellation. Just follow the on-screen instructions until you see a final confirmation message. Take a screenshot of it, just in case.

Cancel Evoice Subscription with phone

If the online method fails or you just want to talk to a person, you can call eVoice customer support at (866) 761-8109. They are typically available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM ET. Be ready for a bit of a wait and a conversation with a retention specialist who will try to convince you to stay. Just politely and firmly state you want to cancel.

Before you cancel, make sure you're ready. You will lose your eVoice number unless you port it out to another provider before canceling. Also, download any important voicemails or faxes you want to keep. eVoice generally does not offer prorated refunds, so you'll pay for the entire month you cancel in.
