If the issue involves food safety, allergies, or a medical emergency, contact the restaurant and appropriate local emergency or health resources first. Grubhub support can handle order records, but it is not emergency medical help.
Active Orders, Missing Items, and Refunds
For missing, wrong, late, or canceled orders, start from the order in the app or on grubhub.com. Grubhub's refund help page says to sign in, select the order that needs assistance, and choose the issue. For wrong-order problems, Grubhub says to chat with support and have the order number ready.
Refunds can depend on what happened, whether the restaurant prepared the order, whether the driver picked it up, and the payment method. Ask whether the resolution is a refund to the original payment method, Grubhub credit, redelivery, or another adjustment.
For unrecognized charges, gather the charge date, amount, card last four digits, account email, and order history screenshots. If the charge is not in your account, ask support to confirm whether it is a Grubhub order, Grubhub+, gift card, corporate order, or another processor.
Grubhub+ and Account Questions
For Grubhub+ billing, cancellation, or membership questions, sign in and check the account or membership settings first. If the charge is unexpected, include the billing date, membership email, payment method, and whether you used a free trial or partner benefit.
For login, password, phone-number, or email-access problems, use the Help Center and be ready to verify the account. Do not share one-time passcodes, passwords, or full payment details in email or chat.
Restaurant, Driver, and Corporate Support
Restaurant owners and operators should use Grubhub for Restaurants support, not diner support. Grubhub's restaurant help pages list Restaurant Care at restaurants@grubhub.com and 877-799-0790.
Drivers should use the Grubhub driver help center and the driver app. Driver topics include account access, scheduling, delivery issues, pay, equipment, and order problems while delivering.
Corporate account users should use Grubhub Corporate Accounts support. Corporate order, admin, and client-care issues can be different from normal diner support because the account may be managed by an employer or administrator.
Privacy and Security
Use Grubhub privacy resources for data access, deletion, and privacy-rights requests. Grubhub also published a 2025 security notice about a vendor incident involving unauthorized access to certain contact information, order details, and hashed passwords for some diners. That is another reason to avoid sending sensitive details through public channels.
If you suspect account takeover, reset your password, check payment methods and recent orders, contact Grubhub support, and monitor your payment card. Use a unique password that is not reused on other services.
Use this script:
"I need help with a Grubhub issue. My role is [diner, restaurant, driver, or corporate account user]. The order or account is [order number, restaurant name, driver delivery ID, or account email]. The issue is [missing item, wrong order, late delivery, refund, Grubhub+, billing, login, restaurant support, driver support, corporate account, or privacy request]. The charge amount is [amount] and the outcome I am requesting is [refund, credit, cancellation confirmation, account fix, or written explanation]. Please confirm the next step in writing."
Helpful questions:
- "Will this be refunded to the original payment method or issued as Grubhub credit?"
- "Can you confirm the order number and restaurant involved?"
- "Does the restaurant need to approve or confirm anything?"
- "Was this charge for Grubhub+, an order, a gift card, or a corporate account?"
- "Can you send the refund or cancellation confirmation?"
- "Which support path should restaurants or drivers use for this issue?"
- "Where should I submit a privacy or security request?"
