How to File a Complaint with DailyLook

File a DailyLook complaint for styling fees, box returns, missed checkout deadlines, full-box charges, cancellation or pause timing, damaged items, return credits, sample-sale returns, account updates, or payment disputes.

DailyLook complaints should start by separating a DL Box subscription issue from a regular store or sample-sale order. A box complaint depends on the styling fee date, delivery date, checkout deadline, return postmark, items kept, and whether the box had already been assigned to a stylist. A store order complaint depends on the order number, return label, item condition, return shipping fee, and refund timing.

DailyLook's current FAQ says each box has a $40 styling fee that can be applied to items you keep or to DailyLook website purchases. The same FAQ says the styling fee credit expires 30 days after it is issued and is not refundable. DailyLook's DL Box Terms say returns from a box must be postmarked within five business days after delivery, or DailyLook may treat the items as kept.

Best DailyLook Complaint Paths

Issue Start here What to include
Box cancellation or pause DailyLook account or Customer Support Delivery date, assignment date, account screenshot, requested pause/cancel date
Styling fee dispute DailyLook support Styling fee date, box delivery date, credit balance, items kept
Charged for whole box DailyLook support Delivery date, checkout date, return tracking, postmark date
Late return DailyLook support Return label, carrier receipt, postmark, item list
Damaged or missing item Customer Support Order/box ID, photos, packing slip, item names
Store or sample-sale return Customer Support Order number, return label request, item condition
Refund not received DailyLook support, then payment issuer if unresolved Return tracking, refund confirmation, card statement
Privacy or account data issue Privacy Policy / support path Account email, request type, verification details

Do not describe the complaint only as "DailyLook charged me." State whether the charge is the styling fee, kept-item charge, full-box charge, late return/restocking fee, sample-sale return fee, or a store order refund.

Step-by-Step: How to File a DailyLook Complaint

1 Identify the DailyLook record

Decide whether the issue is a DL Box, styling fee credit, checkout deadline, box return, store order, sample-sale return, damaged item, account pause, cancellation, or payment dispute.

2 Gather dates and proof

Collect the account email, order or box ID, delivery date, styling fee date, checkout deadline, return label, carrier receipt, postmark, item list, photos, and payment statement.

3 Use the account or support path first

Use the account tools for delivery frequency, pause, cancellation, checkout, or return activity when available. Use DailyLook Customer Support, chat, or the listed support phone for damaged items, missing items, or unresolved billing.

4 Ask for one specific outcome

Request cancellation confirmation, pause confirmation, styling fee explanation, return tracking review, full-box charge review, refund status, restocking-fee explanation, or written policy decision.

5 Save the record

Keep the return tracking, carrier receipt, DailyLook emails, chat transcript, support ticket, account screenshot, photos, and payment statement.

6 Escalate only after direct support

If the documented issue remains unresolved, use the payment issuer, FTC, state consumer office, privacy route, or legal route that fits the claim.

7 Keep box returns separate from store returns

DL Box returns and store/sample-sale returns use different rules. Keep the evidence and requested outcome separate.

What to Have Ready Before Contacting DailyLook

Information Why it matters
Account email Connects the style profile, delivery schedule, and box
Box ID or order number Identifies the shipment or store order
Delivery date Starts the box checkout and return clock
Styling fee date Determines credit timing and fee dispute timing
Checkout deadline Shows whether the box was completed on time
Return label Proves DailyLook issued a return path
Carrier receipt and postmark Key evidence for the five-business-day rule
Item list Separates kept items from returned items
Photos Supports damaged, worn, or missing-item claims
Payment statement Needed for fee, full-box, or refund disputes
Support ticket or chat Shows prior direct support attempts

For a full-box charge complaint, the carrier receipt is often the most important document. It shows whether the return was postmarked within the required window.

Styling Fees, Credits, and Box Costs

DailyLook's FAQ says each box has a $40 styling fee. The fee is applied as a credit toward items in the box or toward DailyLook website purchases. The FAQ says the credit expires 30 days after the styling fee is charged and is not refundable. The member-benefits page repeats that the credit can be used on Add-Ons or Sample Sale items if no item from the box is kept, but it still expires after 30 days.

DailyLook's homepage says a box can include up to 12 hand-selected pieces and can be delivered monthly or quarterly. The FAQ says box items cost $60 and up depending on preferences. A styling fee complaint should therefore answer:

  • What date was the $40 fee charged?
  • Was the box styled or assigned?
  • Did you keep any item?
  • Was the credit applied to a box item or website purchase?
  • Did the credit expire after 30 days?
  • Was there a separate store order or add-on purchase?

If you did not keep anything, ask DailyLook whether the styling fee credit is still available and whether it can be used on the website before it expires.

Return Deadlines, Full-Box Charges, and Restocking Fees

DailyLook's DL Box Terms say box returns must be postmarked within five business days after delivery. If returned items are not postmarked by the return date, DailyLook says it will assume the customer chose to buy them. The terms also say that if the box has not been returned after ten days, DailyLook may charge for the full box value.

The same terms say:

Timing or condition DailyLook's stated handling
Box return postmarked within five business days Return can be processed under the box return flow
Items not postmarked by return date DailyLook may treat them as purchased
Box not returned after ten days DailyLook may charge full box value
DL Box returned after 30 days from the allotted checkout period 30% restocking fee may apply
Return after 60 days Refund may be store credit
Return after 90 days No returns accepted
Product returned damaged 50% restocking fee may apply

For a return complaint, send the tracking number, postmark, delivery scan, item list, and photos. If the charge is wrong, ask DailyLook to identify which item or deadline triggered it.

Cancellation, Pause, Delivery Frequency, and Account Changes

DailyLook's DL Box Terms say the subscription is an automatically renewing membership program. They say members can skip a box or change the preferred delivery date through the account. The terms also say a box is usually assigned to be styled 15 days before the delivery date, and once assigned, the customer can no longer cancel or pause that box.

The terms also say payment, shipping, and billing updates must be made at least 15 days before the scheduled delivery date for the update to apply to that box. If your complaint is about a cancellation, pause, address change, or billing update, include:

  • scheduled delivery date
  • date you changed the account setting
  • date the box was assigned
  • screenshot of pause, skip, cancel, or delivery-frequency setting
  • shipping or billing update date
  • support reply

DailyLook's DL Box Terms say a subscription can be terminated by contacting Customer Support or through the account, provided unwanted merchandise has been returned and kept merchandise has been paid for under the box terms. If support says cancellation cannot apply to the current box, ask whether the box had already been assigned to a stylist and what future date cancellation will take effect.

Store Orders and Sample-Sale Returns

DailyLook's store and sample-sale return page is separate from the DL Box Terms. It says customers can call Customer Service at 1-888-888-6645 to receive a return label by email. It also says a $8.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from the refund total and that refunds can take one to two billing cycles to appear on the card statement.

Use this section only for non-box purchases. For a store or sample-sale return complaint, include:

  • order number
  • item name and SKU if available
  • purchase date
  • reason for return
  • return label request
  • carrier tracking
  • item condition
  • refund amount expected
  • card statement showing no refund yet

Do not use the sample-sale return page to argue a DL Box deadline unless DailyLook support tells you that policy applies to your order.

Use Pine AI for Return or Exchange Evidence

If the DailyLook issue is about a box return, exchange, missing promo, duplicate order, or delivery correction, Pine AI can help organize the receipt, item list, return window, photos, and preferred outcome.

When to Escalate Beyond DailyLook

Situation Escalation path Notes
Full-box charge despite timely return DailyLook support, then payment issuer if unresolved Include postmark, tracking, delivery date, and item list
Styling fee credit missing or expired incorrectly DailyLook support Include styling fee date and credit balance screenshot
Cancellation or pause not applied DailyLook support Include delivery date, assignment date, and account setting screenshot
Damaged item fee disputed DailyLook support Include photos before return and support messages
Store return refund missing DailyLook support, then payment issuer if unresolved Include return label, tracking, refund confirmation, and card statement
Privacy or account data complaint Privacy Policy route Include request type and verification details
Broader consumer complaint FTC or state consumer office Use after documenting direct support attempts

For card billing errors, the FTC and CFPB both recommend acting promptly and keeping written records. A payment issuer dispute is stronger when it includes DailyLook's policy, your carrier receipt, support messages, and card statement.

What to Say in a DailyLook Complaint

Use this script:

"I need DailyLook to review a complaint for account [email] and [box ID/order number]. The issue is [styling fee, box return, full-box charge, cancellation, pause, account update, damaged item, store return, sample-sale return, refund, privacy request, or payment dispute]. The relevant dates are [styling fee date, delivery date, checkout deadline, return postmark, cancellation date, assignment date, refund date, or charge date]. I have attached [account screenshot, return label, carrier receipt, tracking, item list, photos, support messages, and payment statement]. I am requesting [cancellation confirmation, fee review, return tracking review, refund status, restocking-fee explanation, or written policy decision]. Please confirm the case status and next step in writing."

Useful follow-up questions:

  • "What was the delivery date and checkout deadline for this box?"
  • "Was the return postmarked within five business days?"
  • "Was this box already assigned to a stylist before I tried to cancel or pause?"
  • "Which item or deadline triggered the full-box charge?"
  • "Is this a box return or a store/sample-sale return?"
  • "Was the $40 styling fee credit applied or expired?"
  • "Will the refund go to the original payment method or store credit?"
  • "Can you send the decision in writing?"
