View and Revoke Preauthorized Payments in Wallet
Apple says supported cards can show preauthorized payments in the Wallet app.
- Open the Wallet app on iPhone.
- Tap the More button.
- Tap Preauthorized Payments.
- Tap a merchant to see more details.
- Tap Manage with Merchant to visit the merchant's site.
- If needed, tap Revoke Payment Authorization.
Apple's support page is explicit about the limit of this Wallet action: revoking a payment authorization in Wallet does not cancel the subscription or other associated payments. Apple says it requests that the merchant not charge the Apple Pay payment method for future transactions, but in some cases charges might still occur.
Use Wallet revoke as a backup record, not as your only cancellation step.
Cancel Apple-Billed Subscriptions
If the charge is from Apple, use Apple's subscription flow.

Apple says if there is no Cancel button or the subscription shows an expiration message, it is already canceled. If the receipt belongs to a family member, the family member whose Apple Account appears on the receipt must cancel it.
Remove a Card From Apple Wallet
Use card removal when you want to stop a device from using a card with Apple Pay.
On iPhone:
- Open Wallet.
- Tap the card.
- Tap the More button.
- Tap Card Details.
- Scroll down and tap Remove Card.
You can also remove a card from Settings, Wallet & Apple Pay. On Apple Watch, remove the card from the Wallet app on the watch. On Mac with Touch ID, remove it from System Settings, Wallet & Apple Pay.
If your device is lost or stolen, Apple says marking the device as lost turns off Apple Pay on that device.
Remove an Apple Account Payment Method
Apple Account payment methods are separate from Wallet cards. Apple says you may need to keep at least one payment method on file if you have subscriptions like iCloud+, an unpaid balance, or Family Sharing purchase sharing.
On iPhone:
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Payment & Shipping.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap the delete button next to the payment method.
- Tap Remove to confirm.
Apple says that after your subscription period ends, you can remove the payment method. In some cases, you must add a new method before removing the current one.
