Apple and Google Play
Use these routes if the membership was started in the Audiobooks.com mobile app and the receipt says Apple or Google Play.
| Billing source |
Cancellation path |
| Apple on iPhone or iPad |
Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Audiobooks.com, Cancel Subscription |
| Apple on Mac |
App Store, your name, Account Settings, Subscriptions, Manage, Audiobooks.com, Cancel Subscription |
| Apple web route |
https://account.apple.com/, then subscriptions |
| Google Play from app handoff |
Audiobooks.com app, profile icon, settings gear, Manage beside Account Status, then Google subscription management |
| Google Play web route |
https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, Audiobooks.com, Manage, Cancel subscription |
Google says deleting an app does not cancel a subscription. Apple says the subscription is already canceled if there is no cancel button or the page shows an expiration message.
Credits, VIP Rewards, and Your Library
Audiobooks.com uses several kinds of listening access, and they do not all behave the same way after cancellation.
| Item |
Current Audiobooks.com rule |
| Purchased audiobooks, including books bought with paid credits |
Remain in My Books after cancellation |
| VIP Rewards books |
Removed from the account after cancellation |
| Free trial books acquired with a free trial credit |
Removed if the subscription is canceled during the free trial |
| Unused free trial credits |
Removed if the subscription is canceled during the free trial |
| Monthly subscription credits |
Can roll over, but expire 3 months after issue |
| Additional purchased credits |
Expire 3 months after purchase |
| Credits purchased through Apple or Google payment systems |
Terms say these credits do not expire |
| Family Plan library sharing |
Purchased content is removed from family members' accounts when the primary account holder cancels |
If you want to keep a title, make sure it is a purchased book in My Books rather than a VIP Rewards title or a free-trial-credit title that would be removed.

Pricing, taxes, promotions, credit bundles, and app-store terms can change. Check the current account page and checkout before relying on a past receipt.
Refunds and Returns
Audiobooks.com's Terms of Use say subscription refunds are not offered. Refunds are granted at Audiobooks.com's sole discretion, and subscription charges are not refunded under the stated policy.
Title returns are separate from subscription cancellation. The terms say active members can contact Customer Service to return an eligible audiobook within 365 days of purchase, and Audiobooks.com may limit returns or revoke return privileges.
For a faulty audio file, the terms say Customer Service can review the issue, replace a flawed file, or help troubleshoot if the issue is on the user's side.
Gift Codes and Reactivation
Gift subscriptions work differently from recurring app-store subscriptions. Audiobooks.com's FAQ says an existing member who subscribed through Apple or Google Play may need to cancel that active app-store subscription first before redeeming a gift code, because Apple and Google systems do not allow Audiobooks.com to pause billing while a gift subscription is active.
If you reactivate after canceling, the terms say certain removed free-trial books and unused free-trial credits may be reinstated if they have not expired. Free trial credits expire 30 days from issue unless otherwise stated.
