Library impact

What remains in the library

Cancellation affects different audiobook types differently.

  • Purchased books remain

Audiobooks.com says books purchased with paid credits or a la carte remain in My Books after cancellation.

  • VIP Rewards books are removed

VIP Rewards access depends on an active membership and those titles are removed when the membership ends.

  • Free-trial books and credits are removed

Canceling during a free trial removes trial books and unused trial credits. A la carte purchases are not affected.

  • Family members lose shared access

When the primary family-plan account is canceled, purchased content is removed from family members’ accounts even though it remains with the primary account.

Sign in on Audiobooks.com, open My Account, find Billing Information, and select Cancel Account. Audiobooks.com says a directly billed membership cannot be canceled inside the app.
If Apple processed the purchase, open Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, Audiobooks.com, and Cancel Subscription. A website membership still has to be canceled from My Account on Audiobooks.com.
Not for a directly billed website membership. Audiobooks.com says to use its website. For Google Play billing, the app can link to Google’s subscription manager; Apple billing is canceled through Apple.
Purchased books remain in My Books. VIP Rewards books are removed, and canceling a free trial removes trial books and unused trial credits. Family members also lose shared access from a canceled primary plan.
The current terms say monthly subscription credits expire three months after issue and separately explain what content remains after cancellation. Use or verify the expiry of paid credits before canceling; free-trial credits are removed when a trial is canceled.
