Cancel by Phone
Use the phone route when you subscribed directly with The Arizona Republic, when your state does not show an online cancellation option, or when the account page does not clearly show the cancellation control.

Before calling, gather:
- account number if you have it
- subscription email
- delivery address for print accounts
- renewal notice
- most recent charge amount and date
- whether you want digital access to continue until the end of the paid period
- written confirmation email or case number before the call ends
Cancel Online if Your State Allows It
The Help Center says residents living in California, Georgia, Maine, New York, Oregon, Vermont, and Virginia can cancel online by visiting the Account Management page once logged in to the website.
Online route:
- Sign in at
azcentral.com or account.azcentral.com.
- Open Account Management.
- Review the active subscription.
- Choose the cancellation option if it is shown.
- Complete every confirmation step.
- Save the confirmation screen and email.
If the account does not show a cancellation option, use customer service phone or chat. Do not assume the subscription is canceled just because the app is deleted, emails are unsubscribed, or the payment method is removed.
Apple, Google Play, and App Subscriptions
The Arizona Republic Help Center says app-store subscribers need to link their app purchase to access the desktop and mobile website. Billing still stays with the app store if Apple or Google Play created the subscription.

Customer Service or Account Management if eligible |
After canceling in an app store, sign back in to azcentral and confirm whether access remains through the paid term. If the app-store subscription does not appear in the azcentral account, save the app-store cancellation record anyway.
Gannett's subscription terms say EZ Pay authorizes automatic credit-card charges every month 0 to 14 days before the current subscription term expires. The terms also say promotional rates increase after the promotional period, and the Help Center directs subscribers to Customer Service if the rate has increased.
Before renewal, check:
| Item |
Why it matters |
| Promotional end date |
The next renewal may be much higher than the trial or introductory rate |
| EZ Pay status |
Automatic renewal can charge before the subscription term expires |
| Premium Edition charges |
These are additional print sections with separate charges |
| Current rate notice |
Shows the rate you are being charged for the next period |
| Billing cycle end date |
Cancellation usually becomes effective at the end of the current period |
If the goal is to stop the next charge, call before the renewal window. Waiting until the renewal date can be too late if EZ Pay has already processed the next payment.
Premium Editions and Print Delivery
Arizona Republic's subscription terms say Premium Editions are additional newspaper sections with 12 to 20 full-color pages and that the additional charge is added to billing around the delivery date. The terms say subscribers can opt out of Premium Editions at any time by contacting Customer Service at 1-800-332-6733.

Refunds and Access After Cancellation
Arizona Republic and Gannett state that payments are non-refundable, with no refunds or credits for the unused part of a subscription canceled before the end of a billing cycle. The terms reserve discretion to issue a refund or credit in a specific case, but the default rule is no prorated refund.
