Direct ABCmouse Billing
For direct billing, Age of Learning's Terms say Family Account subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date through the Subscription Cancellation process. The Terms describe cancellation through Settings, the My Account area in the Parent Section for ABCmouse Early Learning Academy, or Customer Support.
Before you cancel, check:
| Detail |
Why it matters |
| Account email |
Support and billing lookup |
| Product version |
ABCmouse or ABCmouse Classic |
| Account type |
Family, gift, teacher, library, school, or community center |
| Renewal date |
Determines whether the next charge is stopped |
| Payment provider |
Determines whether ABCmouse or a third party can cancel |
| Add-ons |
Assessment Center or in-app purchases may have separate status |
| Child profiles |
Up to three Child Users are included in a standard Family Account under current Terms |
If you use Customer Support, the Terms say Age of Learning endeavors to handle customer requests within 12 to 24 hours, but it cannot guarantee cancellation will be registered in that time. Submit the cancellation before the renewal date rather than waiting until the final hours.
Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, PayPal, and Paddle
Age of Learning's Terms say that if you purchased through a third party such as an app store, you must cancel directly through that third party as instructed.
Use this platform table:
| Billing source |
Cancellation path |
| Apple App Store |
Apple ID > Subscriptions > ABCmouse > Cancel |
| Google Play |
Google Play account > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > ABCmouse > Cancel |
| Amazon |
Amazon account subscription or appstore membership management |
| Roku |
Roku account subscriptions or Roku device billing settings |
| PayPal |
PayPal automatic payments plus ABCmouse account status check |
| Paddle |
Paddle receipt/support path plus ABCmouse account status check |
If ABCmouse does not appear in the platform account, check whether a different adult, Apple ID, Google account, Amazon account, Roku account, PayPal account, or email address was used.
Refunds, Prepaid Periods, and Installments
Age of Learning's current Terms state that all subscriptions continue to be accessible for the prepaid period after cancellation. The Terms also say Age of Learning does not provide full or partial refunds for prepaid sums.
Important billing rules:
- cancel before renewal to stop future subscription fees
- access continues through the paid period
- prepaid amounts are not refunded in full or in part under the Terms
- if you subscribed at a promotional rate or in installments and cancel before all installments are paid, the post-cancellation access period may be calculated using the nonpromotional rate in effect at cancellation
- gift accounts are prepaid, nonrefundable, and nontransferable, subject to applicable law
- missed or declined payments may be retried for up to 90 days under the Terms
If a charge appears after cancellation, first identify the billing provider. If the charge is on a credit card and appears to be a billing error after a timely cancellation, the FTC says written billing-error notices generally must reach the card issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent.
ABCmouse, ABCmouse Classic, and Account Types
Age of Learning's current Terms cover ABCmouse, ABCmouse Classic, and ABCmouse for Schools. The privacy policy says the services are directed toward preschool through 2nd-grade-aged children.
Common account types:
| Account type |
Cancellation or access note |
| Family Account |
Designed for home use; current Terms describe one Adult User and up to three Child Users, unless another offer allows more |
| ABCmouse Classic |
Managed through the Parent Section / My Account flow described in the Terms |
| Assessment Center add-on |
May be an additional service tied to a Family Account |
| Gift Account |
Prepaid, nonrefundable, nontransferable access activated by gift code |
| Teacher Account |
Free account for eligible teachers; not the same as a paid family subscription |
| Library or Community Center Account |
Managed by the eligible institution or administrator |
| School Account |
For educational institutions and governed by school account arrangements |
If you are a parent with both a paid Family Account and a school-linked account, canceling one may not remove access to the other. Confirm which account is billing you.
Account Deletion and Child Data
ABCmouse account deletion and privacy requests are separate from subscription cancellation. A privacy deletion request may remove account or child profile information, but it does not reliably stop future billing unless the subscription has been canceled through the correct billing provider.
Age of Learning's privacy policy says Adult Users may request review or deletion of personal information provided about Child Users and may request that Age of Learning stop collecting personal information from those Child Users. The policy also describes a Privacy Portal and contact options for privacy rights requests.

If the billing provider is Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, PayPal, or Paddle, include that provider's receipt. If the billing provider is ABCmouse direct billing, use the Parent Section status and any ABCmouse support response.
What to Say When You Cancel
Use this script:
"Please cancel my ABCmouse subscription and stop future renewal. My account email is [email], the product is [ABCmouse/ABCmouse Classic/Assessment Center/unknown], and the billing source is [ABCmouse/Apple/Google/Amazon/Roku/PayPal/Paddle/unknown]. The next renewal date is [date]. Please confirm cancellation, final access date, and whether any other active subscription or add-on remains under this account."
Useful follow-up questions:
- "Is this a Family Account, ABCmouse Classic account, gift account, school-linked account, or add-on?"
- "Which payment provider is billing this subscription?"
- "What is the next renewal date?"
- "Will access continue through the prepaid period?"
- "Are there any Assessment Center or in-app subscriptions still active?"
- "Was cancellation registered before the renewal date?"
- "Do I need to cancel through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, PayPal, or Paddle instead?"
