Cancellation, Trial Conversion, and Refund Rules
One Technologies' current Terms and Conditions say customers may cancel subscription products by calling the toll-free number on the applicable site or by online chat during Customer Care hours. If a customer does not have phone access, the terms provide a mail cancellation route at the Richardson, Texas address.
Important cancellation details:
| Rule |
What it means for a complaint |
| Email cancellation |
The terms say customers may not cancel by email |
| Trial cancellation |
If canceled during a trial period, member portal access may end immediately |
| Paid-month access |
If canceled during a paid monthly period, access continues through the end of the current paid monthly membership period |
| Prorated refunds |
The terms say ScoreSense does not provide prorated refunds |
| Eligible state online cancellation |
Customers in CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, ID, IL, LA, ME, NC, ND, NY, OR, TN, VA, or VT may cancel by phone, online chat, or online through member portal Account Settings |
| Subscription billing |
The terms say monthly billing continues unless and until the customer cancels or ScoreSense terminates the enrollment |
| Free trial timing |
The terms say trial periods are measured in 24-hour days |
A current secure ScoreSense signup offer checked on June 28, 2026 displayed a 7-day free trial, then $29.95 monthly for the first 3 months unless canceled, followed by $39.95 monthly thereafter until canceled. Treat that as offer-specific evidence, not as a guarantee that every ScoreSense offer has the same pricing.
For a cancellation complaint, ask for the cancellation effective date, whether there will be any future charges, whether access remains active through the current paid month, and whether a refund review is being opened.
ScoreSense's OTL billing descriptor page says OTL*ScoreSense.com is used for transactions related to ScoreSense services. If you see that descriptor and do not recognize the charge, do not start by assuming it belongs to a different merchant.
Use this checklist:
- compare the card charge date with any ScoreSense signup, trial, or credit-score offer
- search email for ScoreSense, One Technologies, Member ID, welcome email, or cancellation confirmation
- check whether another household member used the card
- call
1-800-972-7204 with the statement date and amount
- ask ScoreSense to identify the membership, signup date, account email, and cancellation status
- request written confirmation of any cancellation or refund decision
- if the billing error remains unresolved, use the card issuer's written billing-error process where appropriate
For credit card billing errors, the FTC says a written notice generally must reach the card issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent. The CFPB also advises consumers to contact the credit card company quickly and use the billing inquiry address when disputing a card charge.
Credit Reports, Scores, and Bureau Disputes
ScoreSense says it provides access to information from all three major credit bureaus: TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. Its product pages describe monthly updates, credit alerts, Credit Report Analysis, ScoreTracker, ScoreCast, a Credit Freeze Center, and a Dispute Center.
ScoreSense's FAQ makes a key distinction: the Dispute Center provides step-by-step guidance, but ScoreSense does not file disputes on your behalf. If you see an inaccurate account, wrong balance, late payment that was made on time, or unfamiliar inquiry, file the dispute with the bureau reporting the information.

The Terms also state that consumers can obtain full file disclosures directly from the credit repositories and can dispute inaccurate or incomplete information with consumer reporting agencies without charge. This matters if the complaint is really about the underlying bureau file instead of ScoreSense account service.
Identity Monitoring and Identity Theft Insurance
ScoreSense product pages describe identity monitoring, identity alerts, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance for eligible members. The insurance summary states that the group master policy is issued to One Technologies LLC and lists a claim contact route at 1-866-IDHelp2 (1-866-434-3572).
For an identity monitoring or insurance complaint, gather:
- ScoreSense member status and Member ID
- alert date and alert type
- identity theft event date
- police report or FTC identity theft report if available
- affected account or document type
- support transcript
- insurance claim instructions received
- requested next step
The insurance summary says the description is a summary and does not include all terms, conditions, and exclusions. If the complaint is about coverage, ask for the applicable claim instructions and the controlling policy language.
Privacy, Data, and Marketing Requests
One Technologies' current Privacy Policy says it was last updated June 18, 2026. It describes collection of identifiers, account information, payment-related information, site activity, and other data needed to provide products such as credit reports, scores, monitoring, and alerts.
The Privacy Policy lists two direct privacy-rights request routes:
- call
1-844-243-6638
- email
privacy@onetechnologies.net
It also lists the compliance mailing address:
One Technologies, LLC - Attn: Compliance Dept, 3400 N Central Expy, Suite #110-298, Richardson, TX 75080
Depending on applicable law, requests may include access, deletion, correction, data portability, opt-out, or appeal. The policy says requesters may need to provide enough information to verify identity, including Member ID where applicable, first name, last name, and email address.
For a privacy complaint, include the request type, state, account email, Member ID if available, submission date, verification request, response received, and the specific action still needed.
Historical Enforcement Context
The FTC announced a 2014 settlement involving One Technologies and ScoreSense-related marketing. The FTC said the defendants agreed to pay $22 million for consumer refunds and alleged that consumers were offered "free" credit scores, then billed a recurring $29.95 monthly fee for credit monitoring unless they called to cancel.
That enforcement history is not a substitute for current ScoreSense policy. Use current ScoreSense and One Technologies pages for the complaint you are filing now, especially the cancellation number, current terms, pricing shown in your offer, and privacy request routes.
When to Escalate Beyond ScoreSense
| Situation |
Escalation path |
Notes |
| Card billing error remains unresolved |
Card issuer billing-error notice |
Include statement, ScoreSense response, cancellation timeline, and descriptor |
| Credit report data is inaccurate |
Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion dispute |
ScoreSense provides guidance, but the bureau investigates the file entry |
| Identity theft |
FTC IdentityTheft.gov, bureau fraud alert/freeze routes, law enforcement where appropriate |
Include ScoreSense alert, report data, and recovery steps |
| Privacy request unresolved |
One Technologies privacy appeal or state privacy regulator route where available |
Include verification status and response record |
| Negative-option billing concern |
FTC or state consumer protection agency |
Include signup offer, trial timing, cancellation record, and billing history |
| Terms dispute |
Terms arbitration/venue provisions may apply |
One Technologies terms include AAA arbitration language and Texas/Dallas venue language |
If you escalate, keep the packet narrow. The strongest complaint shows the exact offer, the trial or billing timeline, the cancellation attempt, the policy or law that applies, and the specific correction requested.
