Smule cancellation FAQ

Answers about Smule billing ownership, cancellation timing, refunds, and access after cancellation.

To cancel Smule on Android, manage the subscription in Google Play, not inside the Smule app. Open the Google Play Store, go to Subscriptions from the menu or profile icon, tap Smule, choose Cancel subscription, and confirm. You’ll keep VIP access until the end of the paid period, after which Smule reverts to any free access available on your account.
To cancel Smule on iPhone or iPad, you cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings, not in the Smule app itself. Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Smule, then tap Cancel Subscription. Apple will keep your Smule VIP active until the end of the current billing period and then stop renewing it.
For Apple- or Google-billed Smule, the store controls the paid-through date shown for the canceled subscription. Smule’s direct-account article verifies how to stop a Smule.com renewal but does not publish a separate access-end rule, so keep the status shown by the billing owner and do not infer effects on recordings or other account content from cancellation alone.
You can confirm cancellation by checking the subscription status in the store that bills you. In Apple’s Subscriptions list, Smule should either appear under expired subscriptions or show an expiration date with no Cancel button. In Google Play, Smule should no longer appear as an active subscription. Also verify that no new renewal charges post after your expected end date.
Deleting the Smule app does not cancel your subscription. Google Play explicitly warns that uninstalling an app doesn’t stop subscription billing; you must cancel from the Subscriptions page. The same principle applies on Apple devices: removing Smule from your phone does not change the auto‑renew status of a Smule subscription tied to your Apple ID.
Smule says subscription charges and partially used periods are generally nonrefundable. It may make an exception for a Google Play or Smule.com subscription requested within 14 days of the transaction if VIP service has not been used. Apple-billed refund requests must go to Apple.
Yes. For a subscription purchased on Smule.com, log in, click your username, choose Account, click Cancel in the Subscription section, and confirm with Cancel subscription. Apple or Google Play purchases do not appear in the Smule profile and must be canceled in the respective store account.
