Web
Use a desktop browser or the Notion desktop app to cancel subscriptions billed directly through Notion. You must open the specific paid workspace, be a workspace owner, and use Settings → Billing → Change plan to downgrade to the Free Plan; this stops future renewals while keeping access through the end of the current billing period.
iOS
If you started a Notion subscription through the Apple App Store, Apple manages your billing. In that case, Billing → Change plan will not let you cancel inside Notion; you must use the iOS Settings app to open your Apple ID subscriptions and stop renewal for Notion there.
Google Play
If you subscribed to Notion via Google Play on Android, Google manages renewal and cancellation. In that case, the Notion Billing page will not show a Change plan option for cancelling; instead, you must open Google Play on your device and cancel the Notion subscription from your Google account’s subscriptions area.
How Pine helps with Notion
A practical workflow for moving from a messy support problem to a clear request.
Step 01
Open Settings
On a desktop browser or the Notion desktop app, open the workspace whose subscription you pay for. In the left sidebar, select "Settings" or "Settings & members" (wording can vary) to open the workspace settings window. Only workspace owners will see billing options here.
Step 02
Open Billing
In the settings window, use the sidebar to choose "Billing." This page shows the workspace’s current plan, billing interval, renewal date, and payment details, and links to your invoices and payment method.
Step 03
Choose Change plan
On the Billing page, locate the section that lists your current plan. Select "Change plan" (or the similarly named option shown for your account) to open the list of available plans for this workspace.
Step 04
Select the free plan and confirm
In the Change plan view, select the Free Plan for this workspace, then continue through the prompts. Provide optional feedback, then confirm the downgrade. Notion will show when your paid plan ends and send confirmation; your workspace stays on the paid plan until that date, then moves to Free.
