Web

Use the BrowserStack web dashboard in a desktop or mobile browser to stop auto‑renewal for self‑service subscriptions purchased on browserstack.com. These steps assume you are the Owner of the organization account; sales-assisted and enterprise contracts may require contacting BrowserStack instead of using the Cancel Plan button.

How Pine helps with BrowserStack

A practical workflow for moving from a messy support problem to a clear request.

Step 01

Sign in as the plan owner

Open browserstack.com in a desktop or mobile browser and sign in with the account that appears as the Owner of your organization. Only the Owner can access billing details and cancel a plan, so if you are unsure who that is, use BrowserStack’s owner-identification help or ask an internal admin to confirm before proceeding.

Step 02

Open Subscription or Billing

After signing in, select your profile or user icon in the upper-right corner and choose the Account & Profile option to open your account dashboard. On this page, scroll until you see your current plan or Plan details section, which shows the product, billing cycle, and renewal information for the subscription you intend to cancel.

Step 03

Choose to cancel the subscription

Within the Account & Profile page, look for BrowserStack’s Cancel Plan control linked to your active subscription. Depending on your interface variant, either use the Cancel Plan option shown near the bottom of the page, or open the three-dots menu next to your plan in the Plan details section and choose Cancel Plan there; both paths stop auto‑renewal for that plan.

Step 04

Confirm the effective date

Follow the on-screen prompts to finalize cancellation and review any confirmation message about your plan status. Verify on the Account & Profile page that auto‑renewal is turned off and note that, under BrowserStack’s policy, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle; keep a screenshot or email confirmation for your records in case of future billing questions.

BrowserStack FAQs

Short answers for the questions people usually ask before starting.

Yes. BrowserStack’s billing FAQ states that you can stop your subscription at any time, which stops automatic renewal while leaving your plan active until the end of the current billing cycle. Once that cycle finishes, you are not billed again for that plan. This applies to self-service subscriptions managed through the Account & Profile page.
Only the Owner of the organization account can cancel a BrowserStack subscription. BrowserStack’s cancellation FAQ and account-concepts documentation specify that the Owner is the person who purchased the subscription and has full rights to buy, upgrade, downgrade, and cancel plans, as well as manage users and access billing information.
If your BrowserStack plan was purchased through the Sales team, you cannot fully cancel it only with the Cancel Plan button. The official cancellation and billing FAQs instruct Owners to contact their account representative or reach out to BrowserStack Support for cancellation and payment-method changes on such contracts, since terms are managed through your sales agreement.
No. BrowserStack’s cancellation policy says cancelling stops auto‑renewal but does not delete your BrowserStack account, so you can sign in and re‑subscribe later. Profile-management docs add that account deletion is a separate, permanent action that removes personal and billing data, while test executions remain but assign the runner as a generic Previous User instead of the deleted account.
BrowserStack does not generally offer pro‑rated refunds when you cancel during a billing term. Its Terms describe subscription fees as non‑cancellable and non‑refundable, and Percy’s cancellation guide explicitly denies refunds for the remaining billing period. You usually keep access until the term ends, and only exceptional situations defined in your contract or local law may allow refunds.
When you cancel a Percy plan, it will not renew for the next term, but the current term remains active, and extra screenshots are still billable. Percy’s FAQ explains that you will be charged at the end of your term for additional screenshots above your plan’s allocation, and the cancel/pause guide confirms there are no refunds for the remaining billing period.
BrowserStack suggests several alternatives to full cancellation. You can downgrade to a smaller plan by contacting support, upgrade or reduce users via the pricing page, pause or cancel auto‑renewal specifically for Percy, and monitor screenshot usage to right-size your Percy plan. App Percy can also be disabled in SDK or CLI configuration to cut usage while keeping the subscription.
After cancelling, confirm in the Account & Profile page that your plan no longer shows upcoming auto‑renewal and that the Cancel Plan flow has completed. BrowserStack’s recurring billing FAQ explains that once you stop your subscription, the plan stays active only until the end of the current billing cycle, after which you should not see new renewal invoices in the Billing & Invoices section.
